COST REDUCTION STUDY AND IMPLEMENTATION.

What is covered by the Cost Reduction Study?

All aspects of utilities are investigated, i.e. Electricity, Gas/Oil, Influent Water, Effluent, together with other specific areas, e.g. CHP
The study will utilise specialised equipment to optimise the findings from any survey. The equipment typically used will include: thermal image camera, Ultrasonic air leak detector, 3 phase electrical loggers, flue gas analyser, air flow meter etc

What do Total Process Solutions offer that is different?

Firstly unlike many consultancy offerings, our prime focus is delivering the benefits identified, not selling consultancy days. Equally we are not trying to sell a particular solution, we are able to look holistically and then make the appropriate recommendations. Every opportunity identified will have a cost being occurred, the likely cost to resolve, potential suppliers and an agreed action plan. The extensive range of equipment used in the survey allows accurate findings as opposed to simply generic recommendations.

Do Total Process Solutions actually deliver the savings or identify them?

This is one of our key differentiators in that we recognise the limited resources available on site and at these will be predominantly focused on maximising production efficiencies; hence we also help deliver the identified opportunities. An action plan will be agreed and those with the best return, largest savings actioned first in a structured manner.

How can Total Process Solutions action any recommendation?

The detailed knowledge and experience we have ensures that whether local contractors or market leading sector third parties, we can confidently offer solutions to the opportunities identified. Equally, no solution will be recommended unless a good return on investment can be demonstrated

What could be typical offerings?

  • Reduced electricity usage, e.g. Compressed air reduction, inverters, refrigeration improvements etc
  • Gas / oil e.g. improved steam raising efficiencies, minimising thermal losses, heat recovery applications etc
  • Reduced water / effluent volumes
  • Alternative technologies, e.g. detailed assessment of CHP viability etc
  • An understanding of the sites areas of use for energy, e.g. key electricity consumers. This can have an additional benefit in that it allows more accurate activity based costing for products made on site
